Yes, the event is free of charge!  Uptown Live is made possible through funding support from the City of New Westminster, the Uptown Business Association of New Westminster and generous corporate sponsors including our Presenting Sponsor – TD.

Yes, Uptown Live will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019 – rain or shine.

Free parking is available at both Royal City Centre and Westminster Centre.

Access to Royal City Centre is off Sixth Avenue eastbound, parkade entrance at Seventh Street.   Free parking is also available at Westminster Centre – access southbound on Fifth Street, enter just past Sixth Avenue, and proceed to the upper levels.

In addition, street parking is available throughout the Uptown area, but will be metered.

No time limitations will be imposed during the event. You can park as early at 10:00 a.m. and stay parked until 9:00 p.m. on event day.

Uptown Live features the best of BC’s thriving indie music scene.  For the full entertainment line-up, please visit the Artists page on this website. Performances will be happening throughout the day on four sound stages.

City of New Westminster Police will maintain a presence during the event to ensure public safety.

Buses that regularly run on Sixth Street or Sixth Avenue will be rerouted to run along Eighth Street and Eighth Avenue instead.   As the event date approaches, please visit Translink for complete Coast Mountain Bus Service information for Saturday, July 20.

Yes, there is a licensed service area at the event located on Sixth Street between Sixth Avenue and Princess Street.  Minors are permitted in the service area if accompanied by an adult.

Absolutely! There are lots of interactive games and activities for kids located throughout the site plus craft and face-painting stations. The entire site is family friendly. Lots of music to dance to, things to check out and things to see. Kids love a great party!

Street closures will begin at 7 am on Sixth Street, Sixth Avenue, Belmont and Princess Streets.
